DARLINGTON - Five people will be interviewed April 7 and 8 for the Darlington superintendent position.

Current Superintendent Joe Galle plans to retire at the end of the school year.

The five finalists are:

• Christopher Thomalla, superintendent of the Elcho school district. His district is consolidating with another and his position will be eliminated.

• Christopher Nelson, superintendent at Rice Lake.

• Linda Erickson, curriculum supervisor in Darlington.

• Gordon Geurink, interim superintendent at Cochrane-Fountain City.

• Steve Shaw, high school principal in Prescott.

Galle said the position is full time and he hopes to have someone in place by the end of April.
