3 arrested for armed robbery in Darlington

DARLINGTON - Three Madison residents were arrested for armed robbery Friday in Darlington after the victim followed the offenders in a vehicle and led police to their whereabouts.

According to a Darlington Police Department news release, Devon Fraser, 27, Daniel Wood, 25, and Gisselle Carlsen, 30, all of Madison, were arrested for using a knife to rob a local resident of Darlington on Keep Street.

Police responded when the victim called 911. Police eventually found the offenders' car after the victim followed them while still on the line with 911 operators. Officers stopped the vehicle on County F north of Fayette.

The knife allegedly used in the robbery and stolen cash were recovered from the vehicle. Officers also found controlled substances and drug paraphernalia in the car. All three subjects remain jailed pending court for pending charges of being a party to a crime of armed robbery.
