2010 MONROE FUND GRANT AWARDS and RECEPTION
MONROE FUND GRANTS OVER $29,000
MONROE - The Advisory Board of the Monroe Fund approved grants to 23 non-profit organizations serving the needs of Monroe area residents.
The grants were awarded from Monroe Fund, Reasa Charitable Fund, Dr. Fred W. and Alice J. Kundert Charitable Fund, Jane Lysaght Memorial Fund and Reasa Historic Preservation Fund.
The 2010 Grants Reception was held Monday, at the Monroe Arts Center.
Grants were presented to the following organizations:

Green County Historical Society (Collection Management System)
Literacy Council of Green County (Marketing Materials)
Ding-A-Dong Preschool (Classroom Computer)
Monroe Preschool Inc. (Dramatic Play Equipment)
Noah's Ark Preschool and Childcare (Updating/Expansion Preschool Rooms)
Rainbow Childcare, Inc. (Curriculum; Literacy Project)
Clifford and Dorothy Reasa Fund for Historic Preservation
Historic Cheesemaking Center (Restoration of Imobersteg Farmstead Cheese Factory)
Dr. Fred W. and Alice J Kundert Charitable Fund
Green County Family YMCA (Pre-School Program Project)
Jane Lysaght Memorial Fund
Fowler Memorial Free Dental Clinic
Monroe Fund
Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Green County (Recruitment and Support)

The five funds are components of the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin, a non-profit public foundation serving seven southern Wisconsin counties. The Monroe Fund and the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin assist individuals with their charitable contributions in order to create enduring endowments for their communities.
Since the Monroe Fund was formed on Aug. 30, 1996, grant awards have exceeded $310,000. A wide array of interests, including the arts, education, recreation, heath care, human services, social services, historic preservation and housing needs, have received these grants, which assist Monroe residents in all age groups.
