2 motorcyclists Med Flighted after NG crash

MONROE - Two Milton motorcyclists were injured and a third arrested following a crash Saturday afternoon in the Town of New Glarus, according to the Green County Sheriff's Office.

Leon B. Brown, 50, was eastbound in the W5200 block of County W when he lost control on a curve. The motorcycle collided with an embankment and ejected him and his passenger, Bobbie S. Brown, 49.

The Browns were flown by Med Flight helicopter to the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison for treatment of their injuries. Neither was wearing a helmet.

A third motorcyclist from Milton, John C. McCarthy, 66, arrived at the scene of the accident and was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while intoxicated. He was released to a responsible party.

Leon Brown was cited for failure to maintain control of a vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana (25 grams or less).

The New Glarus EMS, Fire and Police Departments and Belleville police assisted deputies on scene.
