MADISON - The 13th annual World Dairy Expo and Summit will be held April 22 through April 24 in Harbin, China.

China's World Dairy Expo and Summit focuses on the entire supply chain of dairy production - from cattle breeding, nutrition and herd health management to dairy processing, packing and finished products. It is the largest dairy farming and processing trade event in China, attracting international and domestic industry players from all segments of the dairy industry. Products in demand include cheese, dairy genetics, feed, feed ingredients, milking equipment, veterinary equipment, dairy housing and dairy processing equipment.

This will be the fourth year the Department of Agriculture Trade and Consumer Protection has managed a Wisconsin pavilion to showcase Wisconsin's dairy expertise. Attendees can expect to meet with key government officials and industry experts, have one-on-one meetings with pre-qualified potential distributors and business partners, network with decision-makers and get exposure to or coverage by Chinese media.

The cost of booth space at the show is $2,000. Estimated air travel to Harbin along with lodging costs could range from $4,000 to $5,000.
