Update: 13 charged after SLANT drug busts

MONROE — Police rounded up numerous people on drug-related charges last week as the culmination of months of investigation, according to local law enforcement.

The operation was a collaboration with the Stateline Area Narcotics Team, a multi-jurisdictional drug taskforce comprised of officers from law enforcement agencies in south-central Wisconsin and northern Illinois.

The arrests were a “culmination of numerous cases under investigation in Green County by the drug unit during the previous months,” according to a joint press release from the Monroe Police Department and Green County Sheriff’s Office.

Of the 13 people charged, two still had warrants out for their arrest as of Monday:

●  Kasey C. Genthe, 25, Albany, is charged with one felony count of possessing narcotics and one misdemeanor count of possessing drug paraphernalia.

●  Jon Robert Paul Haase, 26, Brodhead, is charged with one felony count of manufacturing or delivering THC at or near a school.

The remaining 11 defendants had made their first appearance in court by the end of last week:

●  Elijah I. Armendarez, 22, Argyle, is charged with one felony count of delivering cocaine at or near a park, second or subsequent offense. His signature bond was set at $2,000. His next court date is a preliminary hearing Nov. 13.

●  Jerry V. Coplien, 27, Monroe, is charged with one felony count of manufacturing or selling a non-narcotic at or near a park. His signature bond was set at $2,000. His preliminary hearing is Nov. 7.

●  Mathew T. Daly, 28, Monroe, is charged with one misdemeanor count of theft as a party to a crime and two misdemeanor counts of fraudulently using a credit card. He signed a $1,000 signature bond, with conditions that include no possession or consumption of controlled substances and no contact with two individuals or a residence on Walnut Road, Town of Washington. He has a pre-trial conference Dec. 4.

●  Paige A. Gilman, 23, Orangeville, is charged with one felony count of manufacturing or selling Schedule I-II narcotics. Her signature bond was set at $2,000. Her preliminary hearing is Nov. 27.

●  Jean E. Justice, 24, Monroe, is charged with misdemeanor bail jumping and one felony count of manufacturing or selling Schedule I-II narcotics. Her signature bond was set at $2,000. Her preliminary hearing is Nov. 27.

●  Justin D. Kainz, 26, Monroe, is charged with misdemeanor bail jumping and one felony count of manufacturing or selling THC. His signature bond was set at $2,000. His preliminary hearing is Nov. 12.

●  Jesse Alan Partridge, 26, Monroe, is charged with one felony count of manufacturing or delivering THC as a repeat offender and habitual criminal. His signature bond was set at $2,000. His preliminary hearing is Dec. 6.

●  Dylan R. Purdy, 22, Janesville, is charged with two felony counts manufacturing or selling THC (marijuana). His signature bond was set at $2,000. His preliminary hearing is Nov. 13.

●  Jacob A. Riley, 21, Argyle, is charged with two felony counts of manufacturing or delivering cocaine and two counts of felony bail jumping. He signed a $2,500 signature bond and has a pre-trial conference Dec. 4.

●  Nadine I. Sansone, 39, Monroe, is charged with one felony count of manufacturing or selling Schedule I-II narcotics. Her signature bond was set at $2,000. Her preliminary hearing is Nov. 29.

●  Thomas R. Schmid, 28, Monroe, is charged with delivering THC and delivering narcotics as a party to a crime, both felonies, as well as four counts of felony bail jumping. He was also arrested for a probation violation. His signature bond was set at $4,000. His preliminary hearing is Nov. 13.
