MONROE — Beginning the week of April 5 the Green County Public Health COVID-19 Community Testing Site will move to testing two days per week. COVID-19 testing will be available from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Mondays and from 2 to 6 p.m. on Wednesdays. Testing will no longer be available on Thursdays.

The community testing site will remain at the Colony Brands Outlet Store parking lot at 652 8th Street, Monroe. No appointment is necessary; however, individuals should register for their COVID-19 test ahead of time on their website: gcpublichealth.org. This is to ensure a smooth and efficient process for everyone. After registering individuals will be emailed a QR code (like a bar code) which they will need to bring to the testing site. This QR code is good for 7 days after registering.

Free COVID-19 testing will be available for any one 3 years of age and older. Testing will be available while supplies last. Each testing site will be set up as a drive-through. Anyone 3-17 years old must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian authorized to give consent for the COVID-19 test on their behalf.

Anyone who is having symptoms of COVID-19 or who has been in close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19 should get tested. Additional testing locations in the area can be found on the Wisconsin Department of Health Services website: https://www.dhs.wisconsin.gov/covid-19/communitytesting.htm.
