MONROE — After three months, Monroe Arts Center will reopen the Wellington and Muranyi Galleries on Tuesday, June 16 in accordance with guidelines set forth by the American Alliance of Museums. Changes in reopening may happen periodically in response to public health concerns.
The gallery is open by appointment only to groups of six persons or less. Appointments to view the gallery are available from 3 to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays and from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturdays. Schedule an appointment by calling 608-325-5700.
Exhibit and gallery materials will be emailed to guests upon registration. Upon entering Monroe Arts Center, guests will be greeted by the gallery director and will be asked to sanitize their hands and will be given a mask to wear (if they do not already have one). Masks are required to be worn at all times during their visit.
Temperatures will be taken and medical questions regarding COVID-19 symptoms will be asked of each visitor. Visitors with a temperature of over 100.4 or who are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, along with their group, will be asked to reschedule their visit after 14 days.
The gallery director will instruct guests on how to access the exhibit. Guests will have 30-minutes to tour the exhibit. All other parts of the building are closed to the public. All touchpoints will be cleaned thoroughly between appointments. For information or questions, call 608-325-5700.
