Many volunteers helped pack and hand out meals to families May 22 at the Living Word Church in Brodhead. 

The take and bake meal included: pasta, bread, butter, garlic, salt, two cans of vegetables, a gallon of milk and a dozen cookies. 

Drive-thru service was available for easy pickup. The Brodhead Chamber of Commerce along with businesses and Living World Church headed up the event that provided 100 free meals for those who may be having a hard time due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
