The Art Pierce farm’s bumper oats crop, 1909. Weight of one sack, 107 pounds. Art Pierce, proprietor, Elmer & Zentner, Threshers, Monticello, Wis. His farm was across Cemetery Road from Highland Cemetery. Elmer & Zentner owned the threshing machine and moved from farm to farm during the harvest season. In the rear is the steam engine that provided the belt drive for the threshing machine.
