The Badger Cheese Company operated in the very early 1900’s.  The location of Badger Cheese Company is uncertain but presumably was located on Cheese Row between 13th & 14th Avenue adjacent to the Milwaukee and St. Paul rail line.  A ledger from the century old Imobersteg Farmstead Cheese Factory indicates Badger Cheese Company was among the wholesalers purchasing their cheese. The Milwaukee Refrigerated Transit & Car Co., pictured above, provided refrigerated rail transportation from Monroe to other parts of the US.
