A Glimpse Back In Time, The Pictorial History of Monroe, and the Monroe, Wisconsin Pictorial History are three books published by the Green County Historical Society and picture many of the area’s historical scenes. The photo on the cover of the blue book is of the first high school located where the old Lincoln School stood. The pictorial histories are $25 each. The shiny pages are well done with captions describing each picture. The Glimpse book, at $15, is from the William F. Trukenbrod collection of glass negatives taken in the early 20th century around Monroe. They would make wonderful gifts for the historical buff in your family. Other historical books, items and Society memberships are also for sale at the museum.
