Note: The Historical Society is planning several public events in May. It’s yearly fundraising breakfast at the Moose Hall in Monroe will be Sunday, May 1, from 8 a.m. to noon. The Green County Historical Society invites everyone to come to enjoy a wonderful breakfast and support the Society.

On May 6, the city-wide garage sales will again be held and GCHS will have many items, both historical and collectible for sale on the front lawn of the museum.

On May 14, GCHS will host a “Heritage Fest” with several interesting and historical events happening at the museum at 1617 9th Street, next to One Hour Cleaners.
