Kirsten Boll, Monroe, talks about her best friend Paisley, a 7-month-old papi-poo.

Boll and her husband, Greg, were always on the same page with the decision of no dogs. It was years of their children Trevor, 17, and Lizzy and Karlee, 13, asking for a dog, they finally decided to give in. Boll wanted a small dog and got Paisley from Hillview Puppies in Scales Mound, Illinois.

“Our friends and family can’t believe we decided to venture into the dog world,” Boll said. “She’s pretty amazing.”

Describe Paisley’s personality.

She is the sweetest. She broke her leg when we had her at two months. She’s such a trooper, having to wear the cone, different casts and surgery. She’s loveable and so playful. She just loves any attention.

What do you and Paisley like to do together?

We like to just snuggle on the couch or bed. She loves playing with the kids and going for walks. She hasn’t met too many dogs yet but now that she’s doing better she’ll have a puppy play date.

What has it been like having Paisley in your life?

It has been a lot of fun. Not being dog people at all, my life has completely changed to focus on her. Sometimes I’ll just stay at home because I don’t want her to be by herself. She’s just made us all happier. We look forward to seeing her and my kids love to see how excited she is to see them.
