MONROE — The Missoula Children’s Theatre and more than 35 local students will perform an original musical adaptation of “The Snow Queen.”
Local youth took part in a two-hour group audition Jan. 13. MCT directors Julia Steudle and Kate Schwarz have cast the following students: Amaria Collins as Gerda; Josiah Randecker as her best friend, Kay; and Avery Visel as the Snow Queen.
Wriglie Trimble will play Gerda’s Grandma/Old Robber Woman, and Teygan McCabe will play Kay’s Grandma/Lappish Woman. The Gardner Woman/Finnish Woman will be Baileigh Jelle. Thomas Glover plays Bae the Reindeer; Jack Beardmore plays Yeti; Emma Lucas plays Little Robber Girl; and Mr. and Mrs. Crow will be Jon Rhoe and Areyana Thompson. Will Speer and Grace Lewis will play the Prince and Princess. The imaginative, fun-loving Hobgoblins are Lyla Doyle, Layla Duvall, Jacqualyn Jones and Amelia Kister. The Snow Animals are Elena Boss, Maureen Cavanaugh, Ella Mortimer. The Robbers will be played by Bentley Bawinkel, Riley Buchanan, Abigail Elmer, Harper Kloepping, Nathan Kundert and Aria Randecker. The Snow Chickens are Laney Bawinkel, Kiara Cook, Stella Doyle, Ellie Johanson, Clara Lucas, Charlotte Rogers, Alexis Speer, Charlotte Stuessy and Izabella Vasquez. Serving as the Assistant Director will be Elina Thompson.
