MONROE — Two in-person Youth Apprenticeship Job Fairs will be held in late April and early May, allowing students to speak to company representatives about their Youth Apprenticeship positions.
The first will be held on Tuesday, April 26 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Monroe High School gymnasium, 1600 26th St., Monroe.
The second will be held on Wednesday, May 4 from 9-11 a.m. at the Rock County Job Center, 1717 Center Ave., Janesville. In both cases, students are asked to bring copies of their résumé to give to companies they are interested in applying with. There will be an interview room for on-the-spot interviews if a company wishes to interview a student at the event.
The Youth Apprenticeship Program is an earn-while-you-learn program with a built-in training agreement providing on-the-job training and related instruction. The training is received on-the-job where the employer teaches the skills of the occupation. The Youth Apprenticeship Program is for students who will be juniors and seniors in high school during the 2022-2023 school year.
