BLANCHARDVILLE - Two new herbal workshops are scheduled for May 1 and 2, at River Valley Trading Company in Blanchardville.
Saturday afternoon, herbalist and tea merchant Dawn Dennis, guides you through the tasty world of herbal teas and spring tonic herbs in her "Blending Herbal Teas and Tonics" workshop. Sunday afternoon, herbal educator Nicole Klinge, takes people outside to identify weedy herbs and shows how to use them in her "Creating Herbal Preparations with Local Lovely Weeds" workshop.
Herbal teas and sweet and savory herbal treats will served at 12:30 p.m. each day preceding the formal presentation from 1 to 4 p.m. Each presentation includes a hands-on component, so workshops will be limited to 12 participants. Fees include all materials and are $25 for individual workshops, or $40 to attend both. Workshops are held at River Valley Trading Co., 204 S. Main St., Blanchardville.
