FREEPORT - Open Mic Night is set to begin at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 16, at the Winneshiek Playhouse, 228 W. Clark St. in Freeport. Anyone wishing to participate or watch the fun and entertainment is welcome to attend.
According to open mic enthusiast Steve Bernhard, this is an event for the community to express themselves, and share their talents. "I'm hoping people will take advantage of the first-rate performances and the warm, congenial atmosphere of this amazing event of free form expression," said Bernhard. "People can arrive early to congregate, but performances will begin at 7:30 p.m. If you would like to perform, please come with your poetry, music, drama and comedy."
