Winneshiek Players present 'The Taffetas' starting May 9

FREEPORT - The Winneshiek Players will perform "The Taffetas," a musical that reads like a 50s radio program with music favorites like "Volare," "Tennessee Waltz," "Mockin' Bird Hill," "Mr. Sandman" and "Tammy."

The show kicks off at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 9 at the Winneshiek Playhouse, 228 W. Clark St., Freeport. The performance is hosted by the Freeport Public Library Foundation. The event includes pre-show appetizers and drinks at 6:30 p.m., champagne at intermission and desserts at curtain. Tickets are $40 per person or $30 for Winneshiek Players members.
