Shayla Wilhite, daughter of Greg and Annette Wilhite of Monroe, took first place in grade 2 in the Christmas Poster contest sponsored by Supreme Advocate Harold Lamboley Council 1471 of the Knights of Columbus, Monroe. Wilhite's poster was forwarded to the Diocesan level contest where she secured first place in southeastern Wisconsin (the Madison Diocese). The poster was then forwarded for state competition. There, Shayla took first place in grade 2 in the state. Her poster, along with the other state winners from grades 1-4, will be displayed at the Knights of Columbus State Convention held in April. Joe Peters, principal of St. Victor's School, presented the first place Diocesan medallion to Shayla Wilhite at a school assembly. Later she learned of her first place standing in the state competition.
