SHOREWOOD - The Wisconsin Electronic Security Association, an official chartered chapter of the national Electronic Security Association, is offering two $1,500 college scholarship awards for high school seniors whose parents are full-time, active members of a Wisconsin police or fire department. Through this program, WIESA recognizes the academic and community achievements of the children of statewide first responders.
The first-place national winner receives a $7,500 scholarship and the second-place winner receives a $2,500 scholarship.
For submission information and the rules and eligibility requirements, go to www.wiesa.org. Qualifying students can access the application at www.wiesa.org/youth-scholarship-application/. Students also may contact their fire or police departments and high school counselors who all have received the WIESA Youth Scholarship program information plus the application link.
WIESA application deadline is March 23. Applications must be submitted online through the WIESA link on or before this deadline to be accepted.
