Week of the young child
Childcare

Children and their child care educators throughout the county celebrated early childhood throughout the week. Green County Child Care Network hopes you had an opportunity to view their artwork in New Glarus and Monroe.

Children celebrated music on Monday, cooking tasty treats or meals on Tuesday, Worked together on Wednesday, Artsy Thursday by exploring a variety of art mediums, and family Friday with some even performing songs for their parents.

Sen. Spreitzer and Rep. Jacobson both visited Corrine’s Little Explorers family child care and enjoyed some outdoor time with the children and discussed the direct importance of early care and education for both the children and their families of high quality affordable accessible child care. They further discussed the broader community impacts of both availability and the barriers that the lack of affordable child care erects for our communities ability to meet the needs of everyone.

Rep. Jacobson also visited The Growing Tree to see a high quality group child care program. Other representatives from the county were invited, but either didn’t respond or were unable to visit this week, however, the invitation is always open to them and the Green County Child Care Network is happy to connect them to our regulated child care programs for a visit.
