Wedding: Tranel-Hawkins

Darric and Mandy Hawkins
Mandy Tranel and Darric Hawkins, both of Fitchburg, were united in marriage on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009. Monsignor Charles Schluter performed the 1:30 p.m. ceremony in St. Mary's Church in Platteville. Parents of the couple are Daryl and Mickey Tranel, Platteville, and Doug and Sherri Hawkins, Monroe.

The bride's gown was a Monique by Michael Nolte. The dress is ivory colored, satin trumpet style with a sweetheart bodice. Embroidery at the raised waist is lavished with applique work.

Matron of honor was Jaime Myers, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Hannah Tranel and Codi Tranel, sisters of the bride, Natalie Rice and Ann Spiccochi, friends, and Dana Higgins, Diane Hawkins and Danielle Hawkins, sisters of the groom.

Best man was Shane Bowdish. Groomsmen were Ryan Braden, Tom Drye, Brad Stangel and Jake Wagner, friends; Darrin Hawkins, brother of the groom, Dustin Tranel, brother of the bride, and Jim Myers, brother-in-law of the bride. Ushers were Slade Tranel and Dylan Tranel, brothers of the bride, Rob Martin and Scott Polacek.

The wedding reception and dance were held at the Grand River Center, Dubuque, Iowa. The couple plan a trip to Jamaica in November.

They reside in Fitchburg.

The bride is employed at Madison Veterans' Hospital as a registered dietitian.

The groom is employed at General Beverage Distributing Company as a sales manager.
