Hilary Ann Rasmussen and Eric Charles Plantenberg were united in marriage at 2 p.m. July 11, 2015 at The Chandelier Ballroom, Hartford, by the Honorable John D. Hyland, Waunakee.
The bride's parents are Richard and Arlene (Zuhlke) Rasmussen of Eau Claire. Arlene Rasmussen is a Monroe native. The bride was given away by her father.
The groom's parents are Gerald and Denise Plantenberg, Monroe.
The Matron of Honor was Amy McNeely, Milwaukee, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Danielle Kaschub, Arvada, Colo., and Maria Kingsbury, Marshall, Minn. The bride wore a satin, ivory-colored, trumpet-style gown with button back detail. The bridesmaids wore satin, teal-colored, short-sheath dresses, with varied bodice styles.
The flower girl was June Constance Kingsbury. The bride's personal attendant was Natalie Hunter, Elgin, Ill.
The Best Man was Ryan Plantenberg, Monroe, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Mitchell Kaschub, Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Shawn Westphal, Eau Claire. The groom and groomsmen wore gray, three-piece suits with ties and pocket handkerchiefs that coordinated with their partners' colors.
Ushers were Dustin Weis, Milwaukee, and Marijo Kaschub, Madison.
The reception and dance were also held at The Chandelier Ballroom, Hartford.
The bride was a 2004 graduate of Eau Claire North High School; a 2008 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a Bachelor of Science; a 2010 Master of Arts graduate of Northern Illinois University; and is currently in the Doctorate program at UW-Milwaukee for communication-rhetoric. She is an instructor at UW-Milwaukee.
The groom is a 2004 graduate of Monroe High School; a 2009 graduate of UW-Eau Claire with a Bachelor of Science in biology education; and is currently in the Master of Science program at UW-Milwaukee in the School of Fresh Water Sciences. He is a microbiologist/chemist coop at Pentair Resident Filtration.
The couple resides in the Riverwest neighborhood, Milwaukee. A wedding trip is planned for the spring 2016.
