Dawn Marie Martin and Julian L. Boss, both of Monroe, were united in marriage Aug. 8, 2008 at the First Baptist Church of Monroe. Lowell Stuessy performed the 10:30 a.m. ceremony.

Parents of the bride are Diane and Lyle Hoefer, Monroe, and Wayne E. Martin Sr., Monroe. Parents of the groom are Sally and Jack Boss, Monroe, and Ervin and Ralph Boss, Rockford, Ill.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, Wayne E. Martin Sr. Music was provided by James M. Farrey.

Maid of honor was Leanne K. Simmons. Bridesmaids were Jasmine M. Lyons and Dallas A. King.

Best man was Jerry Bons. Groomsmen were Brian W. Martin and Dustin M. Martin.

The bride wore a white and silver traditional style gown. Her attendants wore turquoise and silver traditional style gowns. The groom and his attendants chose tuxedos with turquoise accents.

Sommer K. Kramer was the flower girl and Skylar J. Martin was ring bearer. Kimberly A. Boss attended the guest book. Skylar and Brian Martin were gift attendants.

The reception was held in Monroe at the home of the bride and groom. They are planning a trip to Wisconsin Dells.

The bride is a graduate of Monroe High School and Cobb College. She is a homemaker.

The groom attended Monroe High School and is employed by Sico America in Belleville.
