Wedding: KRATTIGER-CHOPP

Aaron Marshall Krattiger and Marta Ruth Chopp were married on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at the United Methodist Church in Monroe in a service officiated by the bride's father, Rev. Thomas Chopp. The reception was held afterward at Turner Hall.

The maid of honor was the bride's sister, Laura Chopp, and the best man was the groom's brother, Nick Krattiger. Serving as bridesmaids were the bride's sisters-in-law, Hillary Chopp and Amber Chopp; the bride's cousin, Katherine Larsen; and the bride's friends, Becky Neetz and Kathryn Highley. The flower girl was the bride's niece and goddaughter of the bride and groom, Olivia Ann Chopp. The groomsmen were the bride's brother, Joel Chopp; the groom's friends, Brandon Wilson and Alex Dammen; and the groom's cousin, Ryan Krattiger. Two groomsmen were unable to be in attendance due to their military service. They are the bride's brother Officer Candidate Nicholas Chopp and the groom's cousin, Pvt. Garrett Wyss.

The bride wore an ivory satin strapless gown with a chapel length train and corset-back. The bodice was embellished with beading. A champagne colored ribbon tied in a bow in the front decorated the empire waist. The bridesmaids wore knee-length black dresses with sweetheart necklines, ruched bodices and spaghetti straps. Watermelon pink shoes complemented the dresses. The flowers were various colors of Gerbera daisies and roses.

Aaron is the son of Dan and Deb Krattiger of Monroe, and Marta is the daughter of Thomas and Cynthia Chopp of Monroe. Aaron and Marta live in Mankato, Minn. where Aaron is a student at Minnesota State University-Mankato, and Marta is a student at Bethany Lutheran College. They both work at Shopko in Mankato.
