The bride is the daughter of Wayne and Betty Young, Mexico Beach, Fla. The groom is the son of Mary Jo Goecks and Don Davenport, Monroe, and Mike and Cheryl Majerus, Madison.
The bride was given in marriage by her father, Wayne Young. Sudie Hinds was pianist. Kris Hobbs, cousin of the bride, served as reader.
Ushers were Kyle Majerus, Mandy Majerus and Travis Young. Morgan Young, nephew of the bride, was the ring bearer.
The ceremony and reception were held at The Solarium at Historic Scottish Rite. The reception was catered by Ultimate Culinary Solutions.
A wedding trip to Costa Rica is planned for 2010.
The bride has a master of arts degree in political science from University of Florida, Orlando. She is production manager for the corporate marketing department at FISERV.
The groom has a Ph.D. in computer science from Georgia Tech, Atlanta, Ga. He is a post doctoral fellow at Emory University.
The couple live in Atlanta.
