Kira Ann Borowitz and Brett Eric Cowan, St. Louis, were united in marriage Saturday, June 7, 2008. The Rev. Kevin Cernek performed the outdoor ceremony at the bride's parents' home in Monroe. Parents of the bride are Biff Borowitz and Jolene Whitehead, Monroe. Parents of the groom are Barry and Janet Summers, also of Monroe.

Maid of honor was Kendra LaGrange. Bridesmaids were Karen Swedlund, Ashlee Erlinger, Kari Borowitz and Janelle McLimans. Miniature bridesmaid was Meagan Roberts. Flower girls were Brooke and Breanna Ostrander. Attendants of the bride were Julie Ostrander and Kim Hicks.

Best men were Joe Reynolds and Vince Ostrander. Groomsmen were Mitch Needleman, Roger Tochtrop and Luke Cowan. Miniature groomsman was Ricky Tochtrop. Ring bear was Mitchell Roberts. Attendants were Alex and Nick Borowitz. Ushers were Milo Whitehead and Barry Summers.

The bride wore a white Monique Luo beaded, strapless gown with a drop-length waistline. Her attendants wore strapless, persimmon A-line gowns.

The groom chose a black shirt and tux with a platinum vest and tie. His attendants wore a black tux with white shirt, tie and vest.

The reception was held at Leisure Lanes, Monroe.The couple spent their honeymoon in La Romana, Dominican Republic.
