Wedding: Berget-Bomkamp

Julie and Derek Berget
Derek Berget, Madison, and Julie Bomkamp, Columbus, were united in marriage May 8, 2009, at Luther Memorial Church, Madison. The Rev. Miriam Hull and the Rev. Paul Anderson officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Ferd and Barb Grebe, Marshall. Parents of the groom are Dennis and Renita Berget, South Wayne. The bride was presented in marriage by her sons, Drake and Vance Bomkamp.

The maid of honor was Tonya Berget, sister-in-law of the groom. The bridesmaid was Tera Hornbeck.

Cory Berget, brother of the groom, was best man. The groomsman was Tyler Grebe, brother of the bride.

The ring bearer was Brett Berget, nephew of the groom, and the flower girl was Annika Berget, niece of the groom. Lectors were Shawn Faessler, cousin of the groom, and Craig Jorgenson. The ushers were Jon Filipa and Brian Zweig. The organist was Bruce Bengston.

A reception and dance followed at the Monona Terrace, Madison, with DJ Long Hard Ride of South Wayne. The groom was surprised by performances of the members of the University of Wisconsin Marching Band and Bucky the Badger.

The bride is a graduate of Marshall High School and earned her degree in dental hygiene from Madison Area Technical College, Madison. She is employed as a dental hygienist with Drs. Beck and Becker in Columbus and Westside Dental in Sun Prairie.

The groom is a graduate of Black Hawk High School, South Wayne, and earned his degree as an actuary from University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is employed by American Family Insurance, Madison.

The couple honeymooned in Hawaii. They reside in Columbus.
