Jennifer Mae Bechtolt and Andrew Christopher Caruso were united in marriage at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 18, 2012 at St. John's United Church of Christ, Monroe. The officiant for the ceremony was Rev. Mike Heath.
The bride is the daughter of Steve and Cindy Bechtolt, South Wayne. The bride was given in marriage by her father. Maids of honor were Molly Bechtolt, South Wayne, sister of the bride, and Kourtney Dunlavy, Sheboygan, best friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Brianna Ditzenberger, Madison; Ashley Herbst, Chesterfield, Mo.; and Kayla Coffey, Argyle, all friends of the bride; and Jessica Caruso, Normal, Ill., sister of the groom. Flower girl was Gabriella Fontana, Middletown, N.Y., cousin of the groom. Personal attendant was Nicol Schmitt, St. Pete Beach, Fla., future sister-in-law of the bride.
The bride wore a Maggie Sottero diamond white gown with a strapless neckline, ruched bodice, and embellished corded lace on Valencia organza. The gown featured Swarovski crystals and a chapel length train.
The maids of honor and bridesmaids all wore shades of purple chiffon dresses, floor length with floral detail and a one-shoulder, asymmetrical neckline.
The groom is the son of Roland and Anita Caruso, Freeport. Bestmen were Shane Carter, Ankeny, Iowa, and Edward Owens, Greenville, N.C., friends of the groom. Groomsmen were John Koester, Freeport; Kevin Schmidt, Bloomington, Ind.; Arthur Schmidt, Freeport; and Chad Pospischil, Freeport, all friends of the groom. Ring bearer was Gavin Foulker, Monroe, godson of the bride. Ushers were Josh Bondele, St. Pete Beach, Fla., brother of the bride; Joe Schemel, Normal, Ill., friend of the couple; Kevin Desimone, Closter, N.J., uncle of the groom; and Kevin Daniel Desimone, Closter, N.J., cousin of the groom.
The groom, best men and groomsmen all wore a traditional three-button, single-breasted black tuxedo, with satin necktie and vest.
The soloists were Jessica Caruso and Joe Schemel with pianist Brenda Payne as the accompanist. Ceremony readings were offered by Cheri Foulker and Alice Williams, godmothers of the bride and groom. Guest book attendant was Shirley Eells, aunt of the bride. Program attendants were Kennedy Foulker, Barret Foulker and Gage Bayliss.
Following the ceremony, a seated dinner and reception was held at The Masonic Temple, Freeport.
The bride is a 2007 Black Hawk High School graduate and a 2011 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. She currently works as an educator at KinderCare Learning Center.
The groom is a 2004 Freeport High School graduate and a 2008 graduate of St. Ambrose University-Davenport, Iowa. He works as a claims representative at Sentry Insurance.
The couple honeymooned in Riviera Maya, Mexico and currently reside in Davenport, Iowa.
