Wall of Faces to be exhibited through Oct.

MONROE - The Wall of Faces Exhibit Panels will be displayed from Saturday through Oct. 28 at the Monroe Public Library. This exhibit, provided by the Wisconsin Veterans Museum, honors the fallen soldiers from Wisconsin who are listed on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in the District of Columbia. The opening reception will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, with Doug Bradley speaking. Refreshments will be provided by the VFW Auxiliary.

There will be related events held at the library throughout the month. Taps will be played during community gatherings at 6 p.m. Oct. 13 and 27. A Badger Honor Flight video will be shown at 10 a.m. Oct. 14. Carl Bogar will speak on "The History of Women and Warfare and What the Future May Be" at 2 p.m. Oct. 21.

The closing reception for the Wall of Faces will be at 2 p.m. Oct. 28. Vietnam Veteran and VFW State Commander John Schultz will be speaking.

The Wall of Faces exhibit and events are sponsored by the Behring Senior Center, the Monroe Public Library, VFW 2312 Cecil Jones Post, American Legion Zilmer Riley Post and the Wisconsin Veterans Museum.

The exhibit may be viewed during regular library hours: from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays; from noon to 6 p.m. Fridays; and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays.
