VonKaenel elected prsident of Local 373

Mandy VonKaenel, Monroe, was elected vice-president of Wisconsin Child Care Providers Together, Local 373 of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Council 40.

The newly formed Local gives a unified voice to Wisconsin licensed, certified and provisionally certified family child care providers. Members elected a 12-person executive board to guide the Local's efforts to improve the working conditions, wages and benefits for providers and the quality of care for young children.

Council 40 Executive Director Richard Badger congratulated the newly elected officers and all the providers who have pitched in to help bring union protection and benefits to child care providers.
