MONROE - Main Street Monroe is in need of volunteers for its upcoming Farmin' on the Square.
The organization is sponsoring fiberglass animals painted by local artists and is in need of having them clear coated at car repair shops, dealerships or body shops.
The animals will be finished by the artists by this week. A clear coat is needed before they are cast into cement molds.
Main Street Monroe is also painting cinder blocks used for garden beds and landscaping in the urban garden on the Square. Anyone with any leftover house paint of any color can donate it by contacting Amy Brandt, Main Street Monroe executive director, at 608-328-4023.
