NEW GLARUS - The village of New Glarus will host the 49th annual fine art and craft fair, "Art in the Park," from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 4, at New Glarus Village Park.
Juried artists will sell their wares, including pottery, paintings, jewelry, photography and more.
Local artist Nana Showalter, whose expertise is in metal sculpture, will be the featured artist.
"The fair will include other talented artists and exceptional craftsmen from Wisconsin, and several other surrounding states," Committee Organizer Mary Thomson said in a release. "It's a great opportunity to experience fine arts and crafts in a casual outdoor venue."
Blues, and rock-and-roll music will be provided by guitarist, singer and songwriter Greg Boerner. The fair will also feature food and quick access to New Glarus' downtown shops and restaurants.For more information about Labor Day weekend events in New Glarus, visit www.swisstown.com.
