MONROE - Cecil Jones VFW Post 2312 and its Ladies Auxiliary will hold its annual Buddy Poppy Days on Friday and Saturday. This year local members can be found at various businesses around the Square and on the west end of Monroe.

Donations to the Buddy Poppy Fund make it possible for the VFW and its Ladies Auxiliary to provide needed assistance to local veterans and their families. Besides economic assistance, funds collected are used to purchase needed items for veterans in nursing homes and hospitals.
