WAUNAKEE - Kate Vanderhoef, a senior at Waunakee High School, recently signed her National Letter of Intent to swim at NCAA Division I University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.
Vanderhoef is the daughter of John and Gail (Brukwicki) Vanderhoef of Waunakee and the granddaughter of Michael and Elaine Brukwicki of Monroe.
She has been an active member of the Waunakee Wave swim club under the guidance of two-time Olympic gold medalist Beth Botsford. Vanderhoef was recruited for her skill in the 1,650-yard, 1,000-yard, 500-yard, 1,500-meter freestyle and her butterfly stroke races, coupled with her academic performance.
