At the Green County UW-Alumni Founders’ Day celebration, Erin Cassidy presented scholarships to 11 area students.
The scholarships were awarded to four school districts: Monroe, Juda, Brodhead and Belleville at the annual Green County UW-Alumni Founders’ Day celebration in New Glarus.
The celebration was held at the Fest Haus and catered by Chef Mike Nevil from the New Glarus Hotel.
Cassidy received the “Sparkplug” award from Teresa Keehn that recognizes her dedicated work for the Green County UW-Alumni chapter. She has been a multi-year chair of the scholarship committee, coordinating with school counselors throughout Green County and arranging student interviews. She is currently the vice president of the club and has been key to operating the Annual Turkey Trot Run that raises funds for the scholarships.
Erin and her husband James reside in Monroe and have two children, Theo and Kaylen.
