FREEPORT —Cornerstone Credit Union announces the recipients of their 2019 Founders’ Scholarships: Cade Benson, Lena-Winslow High School; Jasmine Bigelow, Freeport High School; Justin Malone, Orangeville High School; David Swegle, Newman Central Catholic High School; Zachary Weinberg, South Beloit High School; and Esther Xiang, Freeport High School. Each will receive a $1,000 award. 

All of the winners have an impressive list of achievements and activities and have been accepted to an accredited college or university. Cade Benson will attend Highland Community College, majoring in agricultural business; Jasmine Bigelow will attend the University of Illinois where she will study astronomy; Justin Malone will attend the University of Illinois where he will major in journalism and political science; David Swegle plans to attend Hillsdale College, majoring in political economy; Zachary Weinberg will attend Beloit College where he will study molecular and integrative biology; and Esther Xiang will attend Harvard University, majoring in neurobiology/pre-med.
