BRODHEAD - Joseph Clark, son of Tammy McElmurry, Brodhead, and Andrew Clark, Beloit, recently received two honor society awards.

Clark, a student at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, received a nomination for membership in the Tau Sigma National Honor Society. Tau Sigma is a national academic honor society designed specifically to recognize and promote the academic excellence and involvement of transfer students. He received the honor as a result of his high academic achievement while at UW-Milwaukee. Candidacy for membership in the UW-Milwaukee chapter of Tau Sigma is granted to students who have transferred to UW-Milwaukee with a completed year at a prior institution and earned a GPA of at least 3.5 during their first term.

Clark was a transfer student from UW-Platteville.

As part of the top 15 percent of his class, Clark was also asked to become a member of the UW-Milwaukee chapter of Golden Key International Honour Society.

Clark is the grandson of Jean McClaren, Brodhead, and the late Monte McClaren and Walter Dee Clark, Brodhead. He is pursuing a political science degree and plans to apply to law school.
