MONROE - Green County Emergency Management is offering two sessions of hazardous weather-tornado spotters training on Tuesday, March 31.
The first class is at 12:30 p.m. at the Monroe Public Library, second floor meeting room. The second class will be at 6:30 p.m. at the Brodhead Fire Department.
The classes are about two hours long. Participants will be taught how to correctly identify the development of a tornado and learn more about thunderstorms. This free training is open to anyone who is interested in learning more about hazardous weather.
The classes are taught by Rusty Kapela, Warning Coordination Meteorologist with the National Weather Service.
Pre-registration is necessary by calling Green County Emergency Management at 328-9416 by March 27.
