Theater group receives building donation

ORANGEVILLE - Mighty Richland Players Dessert Theater announced that John and Caryl Buford donated the building in which the organization holds its productions.

The theater group will assume ownership and responsibility for the historical building. The community service organization is requesting help from the community and patrons to volunteer assistance including participation in shows, acting as support staff for productions, helping with the care and maintenance of the building and making cash donations.

To help kick off the year, the organization is also seeking volunteers to clean, de-clutter and organize the building, 203 W. High St., starting at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18. A pot-luck meal will be held at noon.

At 2 p.m., the group will be holding tryouts for the next production of "The Little Red School House Revisited."
