SW blood drive yields 18 units

SOUTH WAYNE - The American Red Cross Blood Drive held on Wednesday, Nov. 27 at Marty's Village Inn collected 18 pints of blood with a goal of 20. There were 24 donors who presented.

Those reaching gallon marks were Clarissa Mckeown, 1 gallon; Elaine Renken, 3 gallons; and Mary McKnight, 5 gallons. Other donors were Robert Hull, Konnye Hall, Steve Larson, David Renken, Loretta Brummel, Jack Hagen, Judy White, Joan Jenson, Jim Meier, Mary Zimmerman, Rosann DeVoe, Allen Melland, Bonnie Gordon, Nicholas Meyer, Connie Meier, Donna Wyss, Tom Wellnitz, Nancy Erngea, Deb Wolff, Greg Seffrood, Steve Bechtolt and Chuck Wick.

Donating to the canteen were Valley View Cheese; Cousins Subs, Monroe; milk from South Wayne Mart; sausage and hot cocoa from Pat Baumgartner; sandwiches from Joyce Paulson; and cookies from Susie Junk and Connie Meier.

Helping with the drive were Junk, Paulson, Brummel and Connie Meier.
