Monroe Clinic reports that, for now, it has enough supplies and capacity to care for patients.

MONROE — This Giving Tuesday, Dec. 3, Monroe Clinic & Hospital Foundation is working to connect communities to a cause near and dear to many hearts — Monroe Clinic Hospice Home. In June 2017, Monroe Clinic Hospice Home opened its doors to the community, introducing a new option for those in need of its warm hospitality, residential setting and 24/7 staffing. Since opening, more than 101 families have been served.

“Now that the Hospice Home has come from vision to reality, it’s our responsibility to protect this incredible investment,” said Jane Sybers, Monroe Clinic & Hospital Foundation executive director. “Many people don’t realize Monroe Clinic offers hospice services at a financial loss, which is why Monroe Clinic & Hospital Foundation has created the Hospice Endowment Fund.”

When a donor gives a monetary gift to the Hospice Endowment Fund, those dollars are invested and earn interest that helps pay for continued support programming and services. The donations from community members to the Hospice Endowment Fund continue to fulfill Monroe Clinic Hospice’s promise of compassionate end-of-life care for the foreseeable future and ensures stability through economic hills and valleys.

Giving Tuesday gives the chance to support the Hospice Endowment Fund. To donate or learn more about the Foundation, visit monroeclinic.org/foundation.
