DARLINGTON — Joe Dorman, Jeff Kluesner, Jim Jacobson, and Steve Fitzsimons have been friends forever. In addition, these four cohorts have been singing together for over thirty years in various groups at a variety of venues in and around Darlington. At 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, the group will be harmonizing, once again, as the Opening Act for “Sunday Sessions with Diana Ladio & Friends” at the Darlington High School Auditorium in the Leona M. Havens Theatre.
The harmonies of these four talented individuals will be reminiscent of the Pop Factory Players production of “Forever Plaid;” or as Dorman describes the performance, “a more modern, later in life “Forever Plaid.” Their Opening Act will be the perfect compliment to “Diana Ladio & Friends” as they entertain with songs ranging from Gaelic tunes to Alabama, Marty Robbins, John Denver and more.
Ladio and her friends, Ben Zorn, Sean Carolan, and Brendan Forrest, have traveled the world performing and are now travelling to Darlington to perform. Zorn will be on fiddle and vocals, Carolan on upright bass, and Forrest on guitar and vocals. The dynamic bluegrass/folk trio, along with Ladio, are ready to captivate audiences.
The show is sponsored by the Driver Opera House.
Tickets will only be sold at the door. Doors open at 1:30 p.m. for the 2 p.m. show.
