DARLINGTON - Each year, almost 30,000 people die by suicide in the US, and seventy percent of those give warning signs or tell someone about it in advance.
If you are worried about yourself or someone you love, and you don't know what to do, attend the Lafayette/Green County Mental Health Summit from noon to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, May 1 at the Monroe United Methodist Church. You will have the opportunity to listen to keynote speakers on mental health, attend specific breakout sessions on a variety of topics, learn the warning signs of depression and suicide, and learn how to help a friend or family member who may be at risk.
