Gretchen Gutzmer Legler graduated summa cum laude from Eastern New Mexico University on May 16 with a bachelor of science degree in education. She has recently accepted a position at James Bickley Elementary School in Clovis, N.M., where she will teach sixth grade social studies and language arts.

She resides in Portales, N.M., with her husband, Paul, and their four children, Molly, Wyatt, Abigail and Amelia. She is the daughter of Phil Gutzmer and Catherine Howe.
