Step into better health this summer with the Walk With Ease program
ADRC

MONROE — Summer is the perfect season to prioritize ones health, get moving, and enjoy the outdoors. Walk With Ease (Self-Directed), is a program developed by the Arthritis Foundation that offers a simple, effective way to improve well-being one step at a time.

Whether managing arthritis or just looking to build a healthier lifestyle, Walk With Ease helps safely and comfortably make walking a regular part of routine. The self-directed format offers flexibility, allowing participants to move at their own pace while following a proven, structured plan.

Over the course of six weeks, participants are encouraged to complete at least three walks per week, ranging from 10 to 40+ minutes. The benefits of the program include:

●  Reduced pain and stiffness

●  Improved balance, strength, and walking pace

●  Increased confidence in staying active

●  Enhanced overall health and energy

Participants will receive a comprehensive workbook (provided by the ADRC) filled with resources, guidance, and motivation to support their journey.

Program Details:

●  Dates: June 30 to Aug. 10

●  Format: Self-Directed — Walk anytime, anywhere

●  Time Commitment: 3+ days per week, 10-40+ minutes per walk

●  Suggested Donation: $15
