MONROE - Stateline Women's Connection and Stonecroft Ministries are sponsoring a samplings of summer dinner party at 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 20, at Peppercorn Banquets at Ludlow Mansion, Monroe. Cost is $9.50 which includes tax, tip and program.
Joanne Weeden, owner of Boomerang Bakery, will tell about Monroe's newest bakery and will bring a variety of baked items including one of her specialties, Limburger bread.
The speaker is Terry Rutherford of Plainfield, Ill. Rutherford will talk about "Finding a Hero." She is the mother of three, loves to travel and worked in the corporate world for many years.
