MADISON - The Wisconsin Historical Records Advisory board and the Wisconsin Historical Society are seeking nominations for the 2009 Governor's Archives Awards, which recognize outstanding work with historical records. Historical records include letters, diaries, scrapbooks, journals, photographs, films or videos, sound recordings, maps, microfilm, or original digital documents such as databases, spreadsheets, narrative text or graphic images.
Work with personal and family papers, business records, organizational documents, state and local government records, or court files qualify for all the awards. The winners will be announced in June and presented an award during Archives Month in October. This year's nomination deadline is April 1, 2009.
