MONROE - The Circle of Friends, a vocal trio comprised of Pam Wyss, mezzo; Deb Krattiger, alto; Brenda Payne, pianist; and Deborah Krauss Smith, soprano and St. John's organist-director of music, will sing a number of special Christmas selections at the 7 p.m. Christmas Eve Candlelight Service at St. John's United Church of Christ, 1724 14th St., Monroe, which is one of three services that evening.

At the 5 p.m. family service, children of the church will be presenting "Live, From Station F-A-I-T-H", a re-telling of the Christmas story in the style of an old-fashioned radio show, with music led by the Children's and Junior Choirs directed by Jill Leuzinger.

The Bells of Praise Handbell Choir and the Sanctuary Choir will share their music at the 10 p.m. Candlelight Service, with a special solo, "Breath of Heaven", sung by high school sophomore, Eleanor Nesimoglu.

Senior pastor, the Rev. Dr. Mike Heath, and associate pastor, the Rev. Gretchen Sylvester, will lead all three services. More information is available at www.stjohnsmonroe.org or by calling (608) 325-2165.
